stephens care centerMany residents at Kendal at Oberlin choose to live in an apartment or cottage upon moving in. But you can rest easy knowing that when you need more assistance down the road, The Stephens Care Center is the highest-quality care and setting located in the community you will already know and love.

Exceeding Expectations

As the first Ohio community to be accredited as a Person Centered Long Term Care Community by CARF-CCAC, The Stephens Care Center, located within Kendal at Oberlin, still feels like home. Friendly, qualified staff members strive to make residents feel as though they never left their household. Private rooms allow occupants to make it their own with interior décor, personal belongings and even pets.

There are several chances for participating in therapeutic programs and recreational events. Creative arts therapies include art, music and movement, and everyone participates, including residents, volunteers, and even students from Oberlin College.

The Stephens Care Center has been recognized numerous times for providing outstanding assisted living and nursing care services for residents. Twenty-four licensed residential care suites offer assisted living options. Forty-eight Medicare-approved nursing rooms also offer opportunities for more hands-on care. This spring, 13 more assisted living suites were unveiled. All accommodations are private rooms.

For a limited time starting June 1, the Stephens Care Center will accept direct admissions.  Please contact our Social Services staff, at 1-800-548-9469, ext. 813.

Also being added during the new construction is a large country kitchen with brand-new appliances and work stations. The new options for dining are expansive, from culinary classes to bake sales. There will also be a second outdoor area added that may be transformed into another therapy garden, perfect for reflecting, meditating, reading or simply enjoying nature.
