Richard Melecki’s career has been varied and diverse, including experience in healthcare, financial services, insurance, and information technology. He has over 18 years of experience with the healthcare industry, both in employed positions and as a management consultant. He worked in various operations management positions for Robinson Memorial Hospital, University Hospitals of Cleveland, and Kaiser Permanente. His consulting clients have included Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Maryland, Blue Cross of Northeast Pennsylvania, Christiana Care Hospital in Wilmington, DE, the Cleveland Clinic, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Olsten Health Services, the Order of St. Francis Health System, and the Trinity Health System.
As a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young’s Management Consulting Division, Richard was part of the original team that created strategic business reengineering methodologies. During his tenure with E&Y, he led international strategic business reengineering initiatives for American Express, Bechtel Power Corporation, Coca Cola, and Ikon Office Solutions.
Richard was a Senior Vice President for Superior Consultant Holdings Corporation, a $100 million technology services provider. Prior to his retirement, he had a successful consulting practice working with CEOs of small to medium technology companies on strategic growth issues. Richard is a former member of the Kendal at Oberlin board and attends Kent Friends Meeting.
